Nikka is a leader. She is a great leader trainer too. She is very smart, obediant, intense and attentive. She is not super fast, but she has raced Sandwich 2 times in lead for two different kennels and done well. (Kelim's 2002 team and SiberSong's 2003 team, photos of both below) She was also one of my two dogs the year I did the Sandwich 15 mile Skijor class (2001). She led for my step-daughter in the 2003 Meridith sprint race too. She is a dog I rely on and love dearly. She leads just like a sweet little Alaskan I used to own named Ebony, who is now over the Rainbow Bridge. Ebony tought Nikka, and Nikka passes it on.
